The planetary ring gear was revised starting in the 2004 model year. The appearance difference is subtle, but the oss sensor will send incorrect data to the pcm if one of these transmission assemblies is installed into an earlier vehicle.<br>

The front pump assembly also was revised and the intermediate clutch now utilizes a wave plate.<br>
