100% FINISHED, TESTED, AND WORKING!

Background:

Traction Control was standard in 300b Mercury Marauders (late 2003s and all 2004s) but not even an option in the early 300a models. Retrofitting traction control into a 300a is rather easy since the system is handled entirely within the abs module and all the harnesses are connectors present within the 300a. Even the dashboard has the light ready to go.

Parts needed:

Part W/O Traction Control W/ Traction Control
Master cylinder 6W1Z-2140-BA 6W1Z-2140-AA
ABS control module 3W3Z-2C219-HA 3W3Z-2C219-GA
ABS pump & motor 3W7Z-2C286-BB 6W1Z-2C286-AA
Left side trim 3W3Z-54046A63-FAA ???????
MC to CM brake lines ?????? ???????

Bold = The part is obsolete from ford. There is a good chance that other panther years are compatible but I can't say for sure.

Just swap all the non tc parts with their traction control equal. The brake line connectors on the master cylinders is different between the two which is why you need the two brake lines.

Bleed those brakes after!

Visual differences between the master cylinders w/ and w/o TC:
